Chrispan Dancing Queen at Hutaka
'Abba' was a full cousin to my Tomarkus Creme de la Creme at Hutaka - their mothers were litter sisters. Abba was shown quite successfully as a youngster, winning Best Puppy and BIS at the Hound Association Open Show in 2004. Unfortunately, Abba had a 'thing' about being looked at by the judges. I tried many things with her (including shielding her eyes so that she couldn't SEE the judge looking at her)! But she was simply not a 'career girl'. I have always wanted my whippets to enjoy their shows as much as I did, so it was a little disappointing to have to retire her at such a young age. Due to personal upheaval in my own life, I also missed the chance to have a litter from her. She is a very happy 'sofa dog', who loves nothing more than to go rolling around the garden, plastering "Eau de Worm' behind her ears, and has been a wonderful 'Auntie' to the youngsters.
